Outbox make theatre queerly.
We collaborate with LGBTQ+ performers, artists and communities to tell stories in bold and exciting ways.
Our theatre moves; we are playful with form, taking inspiration from (and blurring the lines of) performance, dance and visual art. Though often found in unusual spaces and buildings, we also collaborate with leading theatres and arts organisations.
Outbox are supported by The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama and Big Lottery Fund, and make work across the UK. Founded in 2010 with a mission to tell the unheard and forgotten stories of the queer community, our work is inter-generational and inclusive.
We want our audiences to challenge, question and, ultimately, dance with us… we are never far away from a mirror-ball, a smoke machine, and a glitter-drop.
Outbox was founded by director Ben Buratta in 2010.
