At Outbox our participation work sits proudly alongside our creative programme; one cannot exist without the other. We want to share what we create, pass on any skills we learn along the way and keep learning from the LGBTQ community.

We work with LGBTQ youth groups nationally to build skills in performance, confidence building and self esteem. We have worked with LGBT North West, Gendered Intelligence, GYRO Liverpool, Birmingham LGBT, Mosaic Youth, The Albert Kennedy Trust and Royal Central School of Speech and Drama amongst others.

Our workshops focus on storytelling and practical acting exercises to enable young people to share their own experiences and channel them in a creative way. We connect with older LGBTQ people too- visiting social groups, residential homes and working with charities such as Age UK. Our goal is always to bring different sections of the LGBTQ community together, across generations and cultures, to create a dialogue and an exciting shared experience.

If you are an LGBTQ organisation and would like to work with us- please get in touch. We are always eager to work with new people and create partnerships.
